On April 3, the Dino Ferrari Centre presented one of the new projects for 2024: the “Young Researchers Project”.

“We firmly believe that young people are the key to building a better future. That’s why we launched the Young Researchers’ project: a three-year research contract, for a young talented in the field of neuromuscular, neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular diseases”.

The project objectives are divided into 3 main areas:

1. Etiopathogenetic research, that is, the study of the causes of a disease (etiology) and their mechanism of action (pathogenesis).
2. Develop new therapies, translating research results into new clinical treatments also by collaborating with clinicians and other researchers.
3. Training and Professional Growth

We are pleased to inform you that, thanks to the significant contribution of our association that has always supported the work of researchers of the Dino Ferrari Center, the project has succeeded in starting. With your solidarity we have helped finance a three-year research contract for a Young Researcher in Neurology who will become part of the team of the “Dino Ferrari Center” – University of Milan and will work in close collaboration with Fondazione I.R.C.C.S. Ca’ Granda – Ospedale Policlinico di Milano to implement new studies on Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2A (CMT2A).
