Nigel’s story (UK)

Hi, I am Nigel, 68, and I would like to tell you my story of CMT2A (so far).

From about 10yrs old I was suppose clumsey but doctors thought this was a side effect of some tablets I was taking for a different problem. It was not till I was 61years I needed a walking stick and after a accident my problem got worse. At 63years I was told by doctors it was CMT2A. I have realised the benefits of exercise though now it can be a problem. I was working till one year before having to retire and drove a foot controlled car till 7 years ago. Now I drive a hand controlled car and still do. I suppose what I am trying to say is CMT2A does not mean to much of a change of life style. As we say in England “together we are stronger”!
